Teneise Mitchell Ellis, from Chesapeake, VA began training at the Evelyn Ott School of Dance under the direction of Denise Ott Land. While earning her BFA in Jazz Performance from the University of the Arts, she also participated in the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center Summer Intensive program. Teneise has performed with a host of companies including, Eleone Dance Theater, Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago’s Second Company, and The Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco). She made her debut with Bad Boys of Dance in 2014, in the international production of Romeo and Juliet, where she played the role of Nurse. Recently, she appeared as a guest artist with Camille A. Brown and Dancers work, Black Girl: Linguistic Play. Teneise is currently a member of the New York City Rockettes performing in The New York Spectacular and The Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall.
